Crazy Beau

beau1.jpg

My boy, Beau, a Boerboel of 11 months, is so crazy! He loves people, so when someone comes to visit he is so excited he push them over. He is very very heavy! I don't know what to do anymore. He never bites, so he's not dangerous. Just too excited.

And he hates the rain!! Never goes out when it\'s raining.

Janine,

Your boykie is certainly beeg! This is what you're going to have to do to stop this pushing business. The minute he jumps up at anybody tell them to immediately turn that backs on him and not to say a word. He's doing it to get attention, so if he gets no attention, he will stop doing it. If he persists, tell people to tread on the toes of his back feet. (Gently...you don't want to break his toes biglaugh.png )

Hi Janine, someone told me that when someone new is coming to visit, then the dog thinks the new visitor is visiting him.  You need to tell all your visitors, that when he jumps up in excitement, they need to turn around and ignore him.  It takes some time to work, but eventaully it finally works after quite a number of tries.  My family has an overly excited labrador, and the experiment is slowly working. Your pet needs to understand that the visitors are for you.

Hope this helps

So i agree with GerryR...
